On Thursday morning, a fatal car crash claimed the life of one individual and injured another. The accident, in which two vehicles collided, occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Wilmington, Delaware near Frawley Stadium around 5:30 am. One victim succumbed to fatal injuries at the scene of the car crash while another person was taken by ambulance to the Christiana Hospital for treatment.
At least three million people sustain serious injuries from car accidents each year, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). With that many car crashes occurring daily, the number of fatalities and catastrophic injuries rises as well. Even injuries that appear minor could worsen if not treated properly after the incident, which could lead to debilitating complications that threaten the victim’s quality of life.
