School Bus Struck Pedestrians in Bear Causing Personal InjuriesA school bus struck three pedestrians in Bear, Delaware on Thursday morning. Around 8:20 am, the pedestrian accident occurred on Route 40 and Porter Road when a 36-year-old woman, 9-year-old girl, and 6-year-old boy crossed against the light, and a school bus hit them. The woman was transported to the Christiana Hospital with critical injuries while both children received treatment for personal injuries at the A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children. The 55-year-old bus driver who is from Newark, Delaware and a bus aide incurred no injuries in the crash. No other passengers occupied the bus during the time that the school bus struck the pedestrians.
